Here are some more random picture I have taken.

I was on a trip to Kentucky and caught this wonderful picture.

I saw this sign every time I traveled to Kentucky and I finally got a good picture of it.

Every time I would see it I would giggle.

One night my son and husband came home and they ran in and said grab your camera.
I came out and found a tree frog on my house .

I went to the Clabber Girl Museum with my mother.

This is a mural on the wall there.

On the same trip my Mother and I were walking and saw this plaque.

I liked what it said so I took the picture so I could remember it.

My friend Michelle went to see the ocean and send me this box in the mail.

When I opened the box I found a frog in sand.

I love it and it stays on my desk so i cant see it all the timeMy friend Beth came in one day and again I am told to grab my camera.

Outside was the biggest moth any of us had seen.

If you can see her, my cat is on the fence trying to get it

It was a pretty good size moth. I have never seen one that big before.

Meat Loaf :-)

Large Meatloaf

Ingredients:

4 pounds ground beef

1 box crackers, containing 4 small packages in it

3 eggs

ketchup

6 cans sliced or whole potatoes

2 cans carrots

salt and pepper

Place ground beef in and bowl.

Crush crackers and place in bowl.

Add eggs
Mix all together

It will not look pretty at first...lol

Form into a ball and place into pan

Form into a loaf shape
Pour potatoes and carrots (not drained) all around.
If you don't like the canned ,you can slice potatoes and carrots yourself, but add water to the pan.
I would estimate about 4 cups of water

Salt and pepper as you desire.
Cook in oven for about an hour at 350 degrees.
Remove from oven and slice in half.
This will help the center cook faster
Add ketchup to the top
Place back in over for another hour.

This make a very large meat loaf.
It feed the 3 of us and then I have some that my Husband takes for lunch. I then have a large bowl left to eat from for a couple of days. The leftovers can be divided into small lunch size portions and froze for use at a later time.

Salmon Patties

They are called salmon patties but I like to use mackerel because it has a better flavor and is a little cheaper then salmon.

Ingredients:

2 cans mackerel

1 box crackers

veggie oil

2 eggs (if desired)

Pour mackerel into a bowl and if you prefer to do so pick out the bones.

The bones will be crashed to a powder so it in not necessary to pick them out.

Crush crackers and mix into the mackerel.

Some prefer to add 2 eggs to help hold this together,

but I use just a little water and that seems to work. Shape into patties.
Fry in veggie oil until golden brown on both sides.

Serve with mac & cheese and peas or any desired sides.

My Thoughts about going to Group

When I first heard there was going to be a group starting I was so excited. I was going to meet new people, that thought excited me and scared the crap out of me too. I liked the thought of getting input from others but then didn't like the thought that I may look like a fool. I have those thoughts a lot whenever I try going someplace. Those kinds of thoughts are what keep me from doing a lot of things I know I would love to do.

I had not heard much more about it so I had put the idea out of my mind. I got a phone call saying they were going to start the group and the first group meeting was to be on a Thursday at 6:30 pm. I kind of stuttered on the phone when she told me about it and wanted to flat out say sorry there was no way I could make it. I just said I would try and I left it at that. For the two weeks prior to the meeting I hardly slept because I could not get my brain to shut off. I kept thinking of how it was going to be and freaking myself out over it. Those wonderful thoughts that like to pop in and then I talk myself out of doing whatever it is I want to do.

The day finally came and Beth came with me. Her going with me calmed my nerves a lot but I still didn't want to go. I did enjoy going and I have met a couple ladies that could turn into new friends. I don't feel comfortable enough to talk about any of my problems. I have been to two meeting so far and I sit back and I just listen. Sometimes you can learn a lot just by listening to others. Maybe one day I will open up but I don't see that happening any time soon. I cant even open up to my counselor and I been going to see him for a couple years.

I do believe that this group will help me become a stronger person, but then my good friend doubt stops in for a visit and he is a hard one to send on his way. Most time when doubt comes to visit me he brings his annoying friend fear and I really don't like that guy at all. I plan to keep going and I am trying to keep a positive out look on it all. Everything happens for a reason so I am just going to go with it and see what happens.

Steak or Pork Chop Stew

Steak or Pork Chop Stew

Ingredients:
1 large steak or 2 pork chops

7-10 potatoes

3 packages of powdered chicken gravy or country gravy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Cut up meat into cubes

The peel and chop potatoes

Place meat and potatoes into a 6 quart slow cooker with water

After this has cooked and the potatoes are about half done,add the chicken or country gravy

Let this cook for an hour or so add salt and pepper and serve

I went through the pictures on my computer and thought all of these would be nice to share. These pictures are just random pictures so i will have to explain them.

I was asked to paint a boat for vacation bible school. I was given this plain boat. I then drew on all my lives and things in pencil because I knew I was going to make mistakes. My boat looked really good when I finally got it finished. Kevin also colored a boat. For my Sunday School class Robin and I took photos of the kids and added them to a bulletin board so they could see all the things they did in class.There was a yard sale held this year to raise money for the church's carpet fund. I made pumpkin bread. I made a lot of pumpkin bread...lol. I then stood out by the road yelling "pumpkin bread for sale" dressed as a pumpkin. My grandmother gave me a set of really old cast iron toys. She told me they were for my son. I love to get them out and look at them. Last year my friend Beth over did it with growing tomatoes. She gave a lot to my mom. I could not believe how many there were. Mom had some inside the house too. She even had one shaped like a butt. My mom and brother had some old bread they were throwing out. They went out back and decided they would try and aim for the fire pit. As you can see but all the bread AROUND the pit, they didn't do so good.lol

Last but not least. One day in craft club Robin and I were eating cheese its that had scrabble letters on them. We played the game then ate the words...lol

Chicken Cheese Ball

Chicken Cheese Ball

This makes a large ball for parties

Ingredients

2 cream cheese

3 chicken bouillon cubes or 2 tablespoons bouillon powder

2 cans chicken breast(optional)

2 packages thinly sliced chicken

Throw cream cheese into a nice size mixing bowl.

If you use the bouillon cubs you must crush them into a powder first.

Cut up the meat and throw into a bowl with all other ingredients

You may have to mix it up with your hands to get it really mixed up good.If you have a good mixer , you can try mixing it with it.It will look like a big glob of yuk....lolShape into a ball and chill til time to serve it.

Tuna Hash

Ingredients:

10-12 potatoes

4-5oz. cans of tuna

garlic powder

Veggie oilPeel and slice potatoes

Fry in veggie oil til potatoes are almost done

Add tuna and continue to cook adding garlic powder

use as little or as much garlic powder as you like, I use a lot.

Let fry a little just to cook the tuns and then serve

Church Christmas Party

The party started out with everyone sitting around eating and just having fellowship. I gave out the bags of goodies that Kevin and I bought for everyone. Brother Kenny had to turn and make funny faces when I was taking pictures. Nathan was happy and laughing.

We played a sort of newlywed game and

Brother Kenny lost so he got the candy cane pacifier...lol. Kevin and I came in 3 place.Robin and Richard were the winners. It was then time to pass the gifts around to see who got what in the male gift exchange. The gifts were being passed so fast that at times they were getting dropped. There was lots of laughing. The men were pleased with what they got. It was then time for the ladies. We passed our gifts a lot slower then the men. We knew ours were breakable. Around and around the gifts went. We finally got to stop passing the gifts. Sister Nancy got the jewelry box I brought. Robin got soaps.Shirley got soaps also Faye got a large hot cocoa mug and I got a butterfly bird bath.

Hamburger Stew

Ingredients :

1- 24 oz.Bottle of ketchup

7-10 potatoes

2-3 pounds hamburger

1/3 cup sugar

salt and pepper

Fry up hamburger and drain off the grease.

Fill pan with water.

Slice potatoes and add to the pot of hamburger and water

After the potatoes have cooked for a while , pour in whole bottle of ketchup

Add 1/3 cup sugar and salt and pepper to taste

Let this cook til potatoes are nice and soft

I love this recipe because the ketchup gives the stew a little zing to it

If you ever make no bake cookies and they don't set up like they are suppose too don't throw them out.

You can turn them into something else. Roll them into balls and then roll them in powdered sugar.

Friends will love them and you didn't waste the batch. #2

We all have bowls that look like this.

The good Lord gave us the greatest of cleaning product to take these stains away. After you have washed the bowl take it outside on a nice sunny day. Leave the bowl in the sun for a couple of hours and you will return to find a nice clean bowl.

I just wanted to show everyone the gift I made for my brother.

He is a big 49ers fan and it's hard to find stuff without orderign online. When I started working on it I wasnt sure how good it would turn out. I worked on it for weeks an when the details started to be filled in it started looking very nice. After I was finished I was very happy with the way it turned out.

I hope he loves it when he opens it Christmas morning

Simple Angel Food Cake Dessert

Ingredients:

1- Angle food cake

1 package frozen or fresh strawberries

1 container of cream cheese icing

Mix strawberries into cream cheese icing and stir

Take the angle food cake and place in the center of a good sized pan. Pour icing over cake. there will be lots of extra icing and it will be messing but it tastes wonderful. Sometimes I like to place strawberry halves all over the top to make it look nice.

Beef Stew

stew meat or any meat of your choosing

1 or 2 cans carrots

7-10 potatoes

3 packages of powdered brown gravy Place meat in the slow cooker with water and then cut potatoes. Add potatoes and carrots to the meat and water and
make sure the water covers the food so everything cooks evenly.

Let cook for a couple of hours then add packages of gravy Add salt and pepper and let cook til potatoes taste soft.

Dip yourself a nice big bowl and eat...lol

I spent the 4th of July out at my mother and brother's house this year. My Brother was showing my son how to cook over an fire. The hamburgers and hot dogs were looking good. I made myself a nice big plate of food...lol We ended the night watching fireworks. I had a wonderful time and I wished I would have taken more pictures...lol

Bean Dinner

I went to the bean dinner again this year. I have found that I greatly enjoy the ride there and we stop at some yard sales on the way. This year I went with my best friend, Beth, and my mom again. We like to go every year and get 2 full ice cream buckets full of beans

We love to sit and here the band play.

Beth loves to come just to get deep fried pickles

This year I decided I was going to try one

They were pretty good and I helped her finish them off

My sister showed up also to get beans.

She was up on the hill heading our way.

They have what they call cake walks there every year. Last year Beth , mom and I all won a cake, well Beth won 2. You pay a dollar and then go stand on a number. My niece Caitlyn smiled for me in this picture.When the music starts you just start walking in a circle. My nephew Joe is looking at me funny because eh doesn't want his picture taken.

By the end of the day and the cake walks, I was the only one who won a cake. I filled up on beans all day but couldn't wait to try a bite, even before I took a picture.

Yard Work

I did some yard work when spring opened up this passed year. I cleaned out my old flower pots and plants some nice new flowers. I then lined out blocks for the flower beds. My son brought me a cup that had the cutest little frog in it. My last big job was trimming up the bush in my front yard. I let it get out of control and I had to tame it.

Biscuits and Vegitables

Biscuits and Vegetables

Makes 2 cake pans

Ingredients:

~~
1-3 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
8 cans of mixed Vegetables
2 can of tomato sauce
4 cans of biscuits=40 biscuits
½ cup sugar
1Tablespoon of chili powder

Salt

How to make:

1. Cook meat
2. Drain all water from vegetables and then add to the cook meat in a big pot.
3. Add tomato sauce
4. Add sugar
5. Add chili powders
6. Add salt to taste

7. Let cook on stove for about 30 minutes on medium heat or until you think vegetables are cooked.
8. Divide the mix into 2 separate cake pans evenly
9. Add 2 cans of biscuits to the tops of each pan that will total 20 biscuits for each pan.
10. Place both pans in the over at 350 degrees

11. Bake until biscuits are golden brown

12. Let cool and then serve

Notes:

You can add-

1 can corn, 1 can peas, 1 can carrots, 1 can green beans, 1 can potatoes or add 1 can of your favorite Veggie, or add 1 can of each to make thicker.

*Vegetable mixture can be made up the night before and placed in refrigerator over night for a quick and easy dinner the following day.

* This meal can also be stored in air tight containers and frozen to be served at a later date.

In February of 2009 for Kevin and my anniversary I bought us new bible covers. Kevin got me flowers, carnations, my favorite.

For A Valentines Day Dinner at church I made this cake.

We went yardsaling all summer and I found thei nice box to put my old bible in.

All the bargin places we went we found so many nice items.

I went to Pumpkin Works that year for my birthday

I love coming here when I can

I also like to take goofy pictures while I am here

I pet the hay horse, i dont think he liked me.

Christmas of that year I decorated my tree and the outside of my house.

Meatballs

Slow Cooker Meatballs

Ingredients:

4-15oz bags of meatballs

2-26.5 oz. cans of hunts meat sauce

1- 32 oz. jar of grape jelly

1- 12 oz. bag of cheese

2 packages of buns

Pour can or sauce into cooker and add jelly.

Stir the jelly in good. Add the meatballs . Stir them occasionally and let cook for many hours.

The longer they cook the better they taste. They taste great and are an easy dinner.

Serve on buns with a sprinkle of cheese

tried to act like he was going to get me with the shovel

Banana Bread

Banana Bread

Ingredients:

1/2cup butter or margarine
2eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
3 large bananas—mashed
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cream together butter and sugar.
2. Beat in eggs one at a time.
3. Mix in dry ingredients.
4. Beat in mashed bananas.
5. add nuts(optional)
6. Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
8. While the bread is still warm pouf melted butter over the loaf.
9. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Topping:

1 tablespoon melted butter
Cinnamon and sugar mixture

Notes:

You can add more butter and the cinnamon and sugar mixture to the top. I did and it was heavenly.

Onion Dip

Onion Chip Dip

Ingredients:

2 8oz. cream cheese
1 package of dried onion soup mix
1 can of condensed milk

Instruction:

1. Place cream cheese in bowl
2. pour in dried onion soup mix
3. Add half of can of milk while you are slowly mixing with a mixer.
4. As you keep mixing, if the dip feels too thick then add more milk.
5. test dip with a chip after it is thoroughly mixed
6. If dip seems too thick then continue to mix and add small amount of milk until it is to the thickness you like.
7. Don’t worry if you add to much milk to it. Place in your refrigerator and it should thicken up over night.
8. Next day stir and it should soften up just slightly and if it is to thick then just add another small amount of milk.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Ingredients:

¼ cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
6-7 pineapple slices, drained
6-7 maraschino cherries, drained (optional)
2 eggs
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup boiling pineapple juice
¾ cup sifted flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:

1. Melt butter in microwave and pour into a 10 inch round cake pan.

2. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter.

3. Arrange pineapple over brown sugar and butter mixture.
4. Save pineapple juice for later use
5. Add cherries to the center of pineapples if you desire.
6. Separate eggs, beat egg yolks until light, adding sugar gradually. 7. Boil pineapple juice and then add to mixture.

8. Stir in dry ingredients; mix well
9. Add vanilla

10. With a mixer beat egg whites until they are fluffy like cool whip.

11. Slowly fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
12. Pour into cake pan.
13. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted into cake comes out clean.
14. Let cool for 3 to 5 minutes, then invert (turn upside down)

Tuna Salad for Sandwiches

Tuna Salad for Sandwiches

Ingredients:

4 cans tuna
½ cup pickle relish
1 cup mayonnaise
3 Tablespoons sugar
Loaf of Bread

Extras:

Eggs-hard boiled

How to make:

1. Open and drain the water out of tuna
2. Add sugar and relish and stir
3. Add the mayonnaise and stir
4. If you like hard boiled eggs in yours then cook eggs. Shell and slice.
5. Add eggs to the mix and stir.
6. Spread on bread for easy sandwiches. I also think this makes a very good spread on crackers or to use as dip for chips.

Cinnamon and vanilla French Toast

Ingredients:

6-8 Eggs
½ cup Milk
1 Tablespoon vanilla
½ Tablespoon cinnamon
8-10 slices of bread
Syrup

Extras:

Powdered sugar
Cinnamon sugar mixture

How to make:

1. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon into a bowl.

2. Beat until all mixed together very well

3. Dip bread into mix and then place in skillet or on a hot plate.

4. Cook and flip until both sides are golden brown.

5. Serve on plate with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar mixture.

6. Then add syrup.

*This makes your house smell so good when you are cooking it.

Painted Turkeys

I found these lonely little turkeys at the Goodwill Store.

I brought them home and this is how they looked when I started to paint on them I worked on them in my spare time for weeks. I had to use toothpicks to get into the little grooves.They did turn out very niceThey go great with my leaf table clothes. I had to cut some candles in half so they would look right on my table but they worked out great.

Easter 2011

Here is an older post form this year. I saw this idea in a magazine and had to try it out. My son is 18 and it become hard to find things to do so we can celebrate the holidays. Coloring eggs for Easter is for little kids, so we made scuba eggs...lol

Scuba Eggs

First you will need to color only the bottom half of the eggs. They will look like they have pants on..lol

You will need to cut out some kind of feet shapes and cut straw to look like snorkels.

You will also need the caps off of water bottles.

My son spilled the red dye on the counter and it stained it pink

He gave me the famous boo boo lip

right before I had him clean the counter with provide

We used Elmer's glue to glue them together but it was very messy.

I would suggest hot gun if you try it.

They turned out pretty cute and they wee fun to make.

After they were dry they could stand up on their own.

Look at the cute little guy...hehehehehe

Fun in the snow

Here is another old post I found in my draft box from back in 2009

We got a lot of snow in February. I had watch it come down all day and night. I wanted to go out and see how deep it was. It was deep. I used a yard stick to measure it and yes it was very deep. My friend Beth was taking pictures of me playing in the snow. Look out Beth one is coming your way..lolMy husband came out and said I was being silly

and to come in before I got sick...lol

I said I want to have some fun and

maybe make a snow angel. He said" you better not".

I just turned to face him and I smiled really big
and fell back into the snow..lol

I went fishing last year for the first time in years. I was all excited about. I had a bite and I was pulling and fighting to get this monster of a fish caught and I was so happy I had caught me. When I finally pulled him out of the water, he was a stick. Man, all that work wasted on a stick.

I didn't give up and a short time later I did catch me a fish. He was a little guy but I caught him. lol

Pumpkin Pies

Pumpkin Pie

~*~

Ingredients: 3 pies

1 large can pumpkin
4 eggs
4 teaspoons cinnamon
2 ¼ cups sugar
3 cups gallon milk or 1½ cups canned milk and 1½ cups water
Shake of salt

Instructions:

1. Mix in a large bowl the pumpkin, cinnamon, salt and sugar.

2. Mix in eggs

3. After all other ingredients are mixed in well add the milk.

4. Pour into pie shells
5. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes
6. Reduce heat to 350
7. Cook until a knife inserted into pie comes out clean. I would say about an hour and 20 minutes, give or take a few minutes.

Night At My Mom and Brother"s House

I had a fun night this passed summer at my Mother and Brother's house. My brother lit a fire in the pi and we roasted marshmallows over it. We didn't roast regular marshmallows, we roasted the large campfire ones. They were huge. Then we went inside and played a game. My brother and I played a bottle cap stacking game. He was eating chips at the time and I told him if he didn't watch what he was doing he would eat a chip instead...lol He thought it would be funny to pose for a picture and tell everyone that he did eat a bottle cap chip...lol. It was a nice night and I had a great time.

Every year I make Snowmen and Santa door knob covers. Last year I tried also making elves and smiley face door knob covers. It it getting close to that time of year again so I thought I would post the pictures from last year. I found this in my draft box and I can not believe I never posted this for everyone to see. The first thing I needed to do was make sure I was going to have enough eyes, noses and smiles to make my little friends come to life. I crochet all the head and bodies and then sewn them together. I then added on the noses and buttons.

I then gave them eyes to see with and man were they looking all over the pace.lol Then it was time to glue on their smiles. Each one has a different kind of smile and their own personality.

Everyone is all smiles now and have on their proper scarfs and hats. Smile
Time to place them all in plastic so they will stay clean until they are sold. Patiently waiting their turn to be bagged up. I gave my counselor a smiley face and he asked if I could make him a frowny one also, so I did. He told me that when it is OK for people to enter his office he puts the smiley on the door. When he doesn't want to be disturbed then he puts the frowny on the door.

Here is a post form 2008 found in my drafts.Cleaning out my drafts is nice, such good memories.

I missed babysitting for friends and family. I was so use to do it that when I took a year off I missed it greatly. I am not babysitting full time again but the times I do, Wow! I am enjoying the time I get to spend with faith and Gage. I am sooooooooo tired though. I forgot how tired I would get after a day with children.

The first day I started watching them again I made Faith cry. I told her that she needed to start picking up her toys because her Mom would be picking her up in an hour. She
started to cry because she didn't not want to go home. The picture on the left is the sad face I saw. I told her if she gave me a smile then I would give her a mint. The picture on the right is the big smile I saw.

On another day I was watching her she came at me growling like a monster. I just had to take this picture. I even left the red eye in for the effect. She said she was a monster and she was going to get me. She got me HE HE HE HE

The past couple of times she has been here I can't get her away from the TV. I pulled out my son's old Ronald McDonald cartoons one day when she wanted to watch a cartoon. They came out with them back in 1998 or 1999. If you bought a happy meal and paid an extra $1.99 you got a new tape. We bought 4 of them for Shawn when he was still into cartoons. Faith just loves to watch them. She wants to watch all of them every time she is here. She just cracks me up but boy am I sick of watching them.

These three stories are from a batch of past posts I was going to post but never did. I decided since I went through the trouble of getting it ready I might as well go ahead and post it. Its been about 3 years since these happened but they are great small little stories that I thought everyone would love to read.

1. Mud Hut

My son had to make a mud hut for school for his history class. He got the idea from me to add sand to glue so it would stick.He and his cousin Donald spend a lot of time working on it. The mud wanted to slide off because it was wet. They set it in front of a fan and that did the trick.The mud hut turned out great and he received an A on it.

2. Rescure the Bunny

One day my friend came over all frantic because a bunny was stuck in her fence. She needed something to get the poor thing out. I found some wire cutters and we went out to see what we could do. Her husband Matt was there trying to keep the bunny calm. Beth clipped the fence just a little. They pulled and pulled until the bunny was out. The bunny ran up the drive way and out of site.

3. My son's big ooppss

My brother, Chris, wanted to teach my son how to drive. One day he had him pull out of the drive way and down the road. My son turns the corner but didnt know you had to turn the wheel back so he hits the curb and blows the tire on my Chris' van. Chris had to drive around with a doughnut tired until it was fixed. Everytime Chris saw the tired he would laugh.

My Scaredy Cat

This is one of my cats. Her name is Scaredy. She is the baby of my other cat, Stormy. We call her Scaredy because she is so easy to scare and its soooooo funny. She loves to just stare at me sometimes for no reason. When she stares I wonder what in the world could she be thinking. She likes to hide in the covers and jump out but then she gets scared and runs back under the covers. She has grown since last year but look how cute she was when she was little. Scaredy is bigger now and she thinks she can just do whatever she wants. I walked in the other night and found her on my desk sleeping. I log into my computer and I try to play on Face book and she decided I didn't need too. I continue to use my computer and she moves and gives me a look to say she is not pleased. She then sees that I am not going to stop typing so she moves again. My son comes in and starts laughing because of her being right in my way. He picks up the massager to massage her. She loves it. She rolls over so he can get the other side too. After he is done she just covers her face and says leave me alone. Please go away. I am hiding. Good Night Scaredy.LOL

Visited My Counselor

Today I got up and got ready to walk out the front door to go see my counselor. I don't understand why but I had a feeling of doom. My wonderful old friend fear had come back again to bug the crap out of me. I wish I didn't feel this way when I leave my house. I feel like such a freak and a weirdo. I know that there are others out there like me, but that doesn't help me feel any less weird. How do you explain to someone that just walking out your door and talking to people scares the hell out of you?

I didn't tell my counselor that I was scared going there. We sat and talk about a lot of things and talking does help, but I must admit that when I talk I feel like a nut job. I sometime feel that maybe I shouldn't talk and what I have to say is unimportant so why speak. Why should someone waste their time listening to me go on about how I am to afraid to stand up and become the person I know is hiding inside of me? I didn't tell him that either.

I mainly complain of how my husband has done me so wrong over the passed years and has kept me a prisoner in my own home. I have, finally after many years, started to break free and go places and have fun. The consequences of me doing this are yelling and fighting and big sighs and cruel words. I just don't understand why it is OK for other people to go where ever they want and for me it is an everyday battle. I know that's where my fears started.

I believe that I use to be a normal person, well as normal as any person can be. I never noticed before the small things said to make me feel bad and to keep me at home. I would want to go somewhere and my husband would say small things to make me not want to go. I would hear how I was a bad mother for leaving my child and going off to have fun. I guess years ago I thought I was wrong for wanting to go to the store and shop. I look back now and see that there was nothing wrong with wanting to go shopping. He didn't want me to leave so he used what he knew would keep me at home. I had gotten to the point that if a friend asked me to run to the store , all he had to do was sigh and I would say " no, thanks for asking but I should stay here".

I love going places now and he can't use the excuse that my son needs me. Shawn is 17 now and doesn't really need me for much. My son tells me to go have fun. My husband on the other hand is still trying to keep me home, but I am sorry to say he is losing that battle. I have a church that I love to go to and I am not giving that up. I have wonderful new friends and I am not giving them up either. I want a job and to know that I can make it on my own. I didn't like the weird looks I would get when people would ask if I have seen this or that around town and I would reply "no I don't go out".

Wow! What a lot of crap I have held in for a long time. A friend once told me that men write random stuff on their blogs and women use their blogs like diary's. I have to agree with him on that one. I will say this, I like venting here better then to people in person. When I go on and on here, no one has to listen or even respond. I can say whatever I please and I don't have to see the disapproving looks or the laughs and giggles behind their eyes.

OK, now that all that is out of the way, tomorrow's post should be a happy go lucky one...lol I might even feel froggy and post another one tonight. I forgot how much I loved blogging. Everyone have a good night and God bless.

Just Another Day

Today is just another day to blog about just like yesterday. I walked to the bus stop with my son so we could go to the grocery store to get food. My husband got into a wreck and the insurance company totaled out our van. We don't get the money til he signs the paper work and the title over. I don't mind taking the bus. I like it. I have never been able to go out and do things on my own before and now just riding the bus is so freeing. I meet some really nice people and I have enjoyed some of the deep conversation I have gotten into with them.

I don't know why I was ever afraid before. I kind of feel like I was a freak before, because of being afraid. I never really understood why I was afraid either. Maybe I was afraid of being hurt or being made fun of or maybe I was afraid to try something new. I know my husband had a lot to do with my fears. I was never this way before. I use to go all over town just to see what I could see. Some time way back I lost who I was. I lost me, the person who loved to talk with people and to see the sites.

Well, I guess I could say most of me is back. I took a trip last summer to South Carlina and I got to see the ocean. It was AWESOME! Now I want to go everywhere. I still feel the fear sometimes but I have taught myself to ignore it or at least act like it isn't there. My son is happy because I told him we will be going to museums this summer and other places. He wants to go to pawn shops to find video games...lol

I forgot how nice it was just to sit down and type out a blog post. Its makes me smile to think that maybe someone will read this and smile and if not then oh well. I use to have a lot of people visit my blog back when I wrote on it every week. I just need to get back to writing again. Even if it doesn't interest any one else, in the future I can always come back here and remember theses day and I know they will make me smile.

I am going to make a meatloaf for dinner tonight, one of my favorite meals. Most people say that its to hot out to cook but I do love to cook. I need to start writing out most of my recipes so i can post them here. I know a lot of people are always asking for my recipes and I love to share them. I have all the pictures put into the posts but I just haven't gotten around to writing them out. I guess you could say I get forgetful about such things.

A Very Long Year

I logged into my blog and noticed that it has been over a year since I have even attempted to write a post. I know I loved to write so I am going to try and keep posting this year, but we will see how that goes.

Wow, where to start? I am still going to the same church and I am getting ready for another wonderful vacation bible school to start at this end of this month. The one I help out with last year was great. I had such a wonderful time and I know the kids did too. I think they had the most fun pelting me with marshmallows when I showed them how to make slings. I am so glad I used marshmallows instead of stones...lol

I have had a lot of ups and downs over the past year but I think I have done well with dealing with them all. One of my very best friends just passed away this year. Stacy was only 35 and a great and wonderful person. She helped me to see the person that I was and the person I can be. For those of you who know me well you know of my many fears. For all those reading my blog for the first time I have been afraid for many years of going places and being around people. Stacy helped me to seek help and now I can go out alone and do things and not feel fear( as much).

Everyday is a new day and I feel less afraid. The past year for me has been a fight to become as normal as anyone can get. I just wanted to be able to walk out my door and go to the store with out fear. I have accomplished that over the past year. Now I feel somewhat normal because I love to go shopping now, like most women do...lol

I have been baking a lot and I plan on posting a lot more recipes so keep checking back and using the recipe button to give you a faster link to them. Well i guess this is good enough for my first post after over a year. Have a great day everyone and God Bless.

Wow! It's Been A Long Time

I must say it has been a very long time since I have sat down and just wrote out a post. I keep trying to come back but then I start to think, "Will any one care what I have to say?" or "Do I have anything interesting to write about?" I have answered both questions easily by looking back at prior posts. Yes and Yes. You all come and leave comments so I know you care and I always have something to say. What I have to say may not seem interesting to me but it could possible be to someone else.

I had been looking for many years for a church to join and call my home. I prayed about it a lot and one night just said to God" I am leaving it up to you". I got my answer that following Wednesday in the laundry mat. I was baptised last October. I greatly enjoy serving God and helping out at my church. I enjoy the fellowship and feel that I have found where God wants to use me.

My friend Robin and I have started a craft club for ladies. She and I are the only ones that are there every Saturday but even if it is just me and her hanging out, it's a great joy.We talk and laugh and right now we are doing scrap booking. I am making a scrapbook of pictures for my son. I know he will love it when he gets older and has his own kids to show it too. Robin and I have also taken over cleaning the church. I forgot how a church can echo when no one is there. I find my self singing while I clean and boy is it loud.

I have joined the choir. I have spent about 3 months trying to put together some choir hymnals for choir. My Pastor and his wife have a few books that are very old so I said I would copy the pages and put into books so their books would not get ruined. The hymnals turned out very nice. It makes me feel good to know I could do something to help out. I love singing in the choir but what I love more is the goofing around. My Pastor sometimes likes to start singing before us and he can't just stop in the middle so he sings it really fast and it always makes me laugh.

I have been asked to help out for Vacation Bible School and I am very excited. I will teach the crafts. I have been looking for weeks for the supplies we need. We all decided it would be cheaper to find the supplies and buy them ourselves then to buy the kits. I did find all the supplies but then had to cut out the different pieces that the kids will need. I have picked one craft for each day and I know the kids will have a blast. I will post later showing the crafts we will do.

It has been a crazy past few months but I am having fun and I am enjoying every minute of it.

Pizza Rolls

Ingredients:

2 Rolls of sausage

2 Packages of Pepperoni

2 Cans/jars pizza sauce

2 16oz. bags of mozzarella cheese or 1 bag mozzarella and 1 bag mild cheddar

2 packages of egg roll wraps-20 in each pack

and any other pizza ingredient you wish: mushrooms, onions, green peppers, red peppers, anchovies,pineapple,ham,and bacon.

Instructions:

Fry sausage, set aside to let cool.

Cut pepperoni into 1/4 size pieces

In a large mixing bowl add pepperoni,sausage, cheese,pizza sauce and all other ingredients and mix until everything is covered by sauce

Set aside a small cup of water and a large cookie sheet.Put wrap at an angle, put a tablespoon of mixture on the center of the wrap.
Fold bottom up over the mixture and pull tight. Fold sides in and roll wrap until all you see is the corner.Dab your finger in the water and wet tip of wrap.Finish rolling and set on cookie sheet or a plate.

Set aside to let dry and try not to stack them on on another, the wraps tend to stick to each other. Preheat deep fryer to 425degrees and deep fry the rolls for 3-5 minutes, enough for wraps to turn brown.Let cool down and enjoy. I over stuffed my rolls and so it made them very hard to make them into rolls. I have been teased about mine because they look like envelopes...lol

They taste great no matter how you roll them.

Tator Tot Casserole

Tator Tot Casserole

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

1 - 32 oz. bag of tator tots

4 - 10.5 oz. cans cream of chicken soup

1 - 12 oz. bag mild cheddar cheese

Instructions:

1. Pour tator tots into a cake pan.

2. Bake them in the over until they are golden brown

3. While they bake fry the ground beef.

4. When beef is done drain all grease.

5. Pour 4 cans of soup into the pan with the beef and let cook until it is hot.

6.Sprinkle half of the cheese over the tator tots.

7. Pour the beef and soup over the tator tots in the cake pan and bake for about 30-45minutes or until it looks like it is thickening up.

8. After it has baked the time said above, pour the other half of the bag of cheese on the top.

9. Bake until cheese looks good and melted.

Substitutes:

Cream of chicken soup can be replaced with cream of broccoli or cream of mushroom soups

Ground beef can be replaced with ground chicken, turkey or sausage.

Swedish Nut Cake

Ingredients for the cake

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 can crushed pineapple
½ cup nuts (I like it with walnuts)

Instructions:

1. Throw all the ingredients into a bowl and stir.

Nuts

Flour and baking soda

Sugar

Pineapple

It will look like this while you are stirring
2. Pour into 9x11 ungreased cake pan.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 -35 minutes.

It will look like this when it is finished

4. While cake is baking mix icing.

Ingredients for icing:

1 (8oz.) cream cheese
2 cups powered sugar
½ cup nuts (also Walnuts)
1 stick of butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:

1. Throw all ingredients into a bowl and mix.
2. Place in refrigerator until cakes is baked and cooled.

3. Frost cake

Notes:
1. Nuts can be any type of nuts you like, I prefer Walnuts.
2. Cake has a better flavor after it sets in refrigerator over night, but that is only my opinion.

3. Nuts can also be sprinkled over the top for added flavor.

I have been away from blogging for a very long time. I have tried to return many times but I have been stricken with writers block. I keep writing many, many posts but I can never seem to finish them. I am hoping that if I can finish this post that maybe I can get back on track. This is the hardest post to finish because it is about my best friends baby that has left us. This is an edited version of the funeral folder that Stacy of My Thoughts and I made for the funeral. I am asking for prayer for my friend Beth and her husband Matt. They are going through a hard time and need all the support they can get. Beth has expressed that she wants the memory of Rebecca to live on. This is my way of showing the world what a beautiful baby she was. You were only with us a short time little Rebecca, but you will be missed.

She arrived on Feb. 27, 2009, at 5:32am and departed on Feb. 27, 2009, at
9:16am. She weighed 15.2 ozs and was 11.5 inches long. She looked very peaceful, and was
a perfect, beautiful baby. She was, and still is, much loved and shall live on forever in our
hearts.

Pumpkin Bread

Over the past 2 1/2 months I have made over 17 loaves of pumpkin bread. I made them for parties and to give away as gifts. I want to share my recipe with everyone so you too can enjoy this wonderful tasting bread. It is so easy to make so don't be afraid to just try something new and make a loaf.

Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:

Makes 3 loaves:

6 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking soda
3 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons pumpkin spice or 4 teaspoons
4 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups vegetable oil
6 eggs
1 large 29oz. can of pumpkin

**For sweeter more flavorful bread instead of 4 1/2 cups sugar put 5 cups sugar and instead of 4 teaspoons cinnamon add 5 or 6 teaspoons cinnamon.

Instructions:

Bread is best when made the night before you plan to eat it.

1. Place flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Mix

2. Then add the cinnamon or pumpkin spice, which ever you prefer

3. mix all dry ingredients

4. beat eggs

5. mix sugar, oil, and pumpkin to the eggs
6. add this mixture to the flour mixture and blend.

7. pour into a 9x5 loaf pan

8. bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a knife inserted into bread comes out clean. Let the bread cool for about 10 minutes and then turn upside to take out of pan. Wrap the bread in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator. This causes the bread to become very moist.

For a wonderful treat cover the bread in cream cheese icing.

Pouring melted butter over the top and sprinkling with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar is very good also.

Notes:

For 1 loaf

2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1teaspoon pumpkin spice or 2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup vegetable oil 2 eggs- Beaten
1 cup pumpkin
¼ cup Water

Muffins:

This recipe can also be made into muffins.

Place paper cups in cup cake pan.

dip batter into paper cups fill up to just a little over half way.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

You can eat them plain or cover them with cream cheese icing.

You can also cover them in melted butter and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar .

Christmas Ornaments

When my Husband and I had our first Christmas together we bought a cute little tree. I like our tree but I noticed that it was no different then any one Else's. Everything on the tree was bought at the store and the tree seemed to be missing something. Love, our tree was missing love. The tree did not seem special. I decides to start making my own ornaments for the tree. My mother bought me some little $.99 tree ornaments kits one year. I now find different patterns in books to do on my own. I have been making them ever since. I have made a total of 30 ornaments over the years. This year I made 8. I have gotten fast at making them each year. I decided to add beads to them also and I think they turned out very nice. I hope you all enjoy seeing them. The last one pictured is one that I messed up on. Even though I botched up on it, it still looks nice. My tree looks special now even if it is only special to me.
