My friends Beth, her Mom Donna and Tiffany took a trip to North Carolina. They left on the 10 and returned home on the 14 of January. I was invited to go but did not because of a third party's disagreement. When they had returned they brought me some of the greatest gifts. I may not have been able to go to the ocean and walk on the beach but Beth brought me the next best thing. She brought me a bag of beach sand.
Inside the bag with the sand she had tucked away some very nice sea shells and a sand dollor. She did not have a lot of money but she was able to get me a real shark tooth in a bottle, a smashed penny with a shark tooth on it, a key chain and a pen that said # 1 friend on it. She told me that she looked through every last pen to find me one with my name on it. She said that they had every name that was ever made on those pens, but mine. I had to laugh at her, I have grown up my whole life with never finding my name on anything. She has tried to find me things with my name on it before and I keep telling her that she is not going to find it, but I do love the fact that she trys. 
Tiffany brought me a gift too. Because I like frogs she found a frog for me.
This frog was special because when you opened him he had a frog necklace in him.
I enjoyed hearing about all the fun they had. Beth, Tiffany and I sat up late one night and watched the video they had of the trip. We are all planning a trip for next year so I can walk on the beach for the first time and stick my feet in the ocean.

Super Bowl Sunday
I have not been known for liking football. I do however understand the importants of football for the men that hang out at my house. Outside of going to my son's games, I could care less for the sport. My brother on the other hand lives for it. 
For the past 2 years he has taken over my house to watch the Super Bowl. Because of my Brother's love for the game he has dragged my poor husband along. Kevin has never really gotten into the sport, but he is starting too because of my Brother.

Kevin then suggests that we buy plates and cups so I would not have to clean. He figured why should I get stuck with a mess when I was not even going to be in on the fun. I was going to spend my time on the computer.
Kevin and I ran around and picked up cups, plates, silverware, chips and all the stuff for the meatballs. Yes, we had to get chips, because you can not drink beer without salty chips to make you thirstier.
My friend Beth was coming over to watch the game also and she came over to steal my big pan. Why? Because she was making a big pot of her great chili to bring. My Mother brought over fried chicken. I didn't even know she was bringing chicken.
Beth also made a batch of sausage and cheese dip. It may not look to desirable, but it was great! 
There was plenty of food for everyone to munch on and I did not have to do the dishes afterwards.
The game was great and My Brother's team won.

Dog Sitting :)
My friend Stacy from My Thoughts came to me two week ago and asked me if I would watch her dog, Dafney, while she was out of town on January 26-28. I will admit I was a little freaked out. I have watched a lot of kids over the past 20 years but never a dog. I was worried about what would happen between her dog and mine. I was also afraid I would lose her. Stacy lived across the street from me when she first got Dafney. I know that Dafney is a little escape artist. I was afraid she would get out and then I would have to tell Stacy's 2 girls that I lost there beloved Dog. I would never be able to look at them again if that happened.
I think I was more afraid of what would happen if I did not agree. Dafney is getting old and she has seizers that can get bad. With all the fears I had I still agreed, because that is what friends do for each other.They did bring her over a couple of days early and left her for about a half an hour to see how she would react. She cried but she was good.
My little dog T.J. tried to keep her company. I think he wanted to cheer her up.
He even slept with her so she would not be lonely.
A neighbor stopped by and brought with her a little friend. It was so little that my small dog in the background of this picture looks big.
Dafney was not enthused by the little pup at all.
Dafney did finally sleep good the last night she was with us. I think she was getting use to us now.
The last day was the worst because not only was Dafney looking for her families return but so was T.J. 
They did return and when she saw them pull up I thought she was going to break out my front room window. Dafney is home now and living it up being very happy with her family.
