5 Dreams Meme :)

My 5 Dreams Meme
I was tagged by Chco Mint Girl for this meme. The rules are as follows: Write five things you want to be when you grow up. Big dreams that seem like folly, but in your heart of hearts are very real and dear to you. Things that maybe you have forgotten about in the hussle and bussle of everyday life, but that never really leave your soul. What you would do if anything was possible? Spend some time day dreaming…and then post them on your blog, passing the idea along to 5 others...because sometimes we need to pause and remember our dreams. Maybe just saying them out loud will help you discover little ways you can make them happen. You can write about that, too. These are the 5 things that I ‘wanted’ when I was young…

1. I use to dream about becoming a circus clown and living in the circus. I was once told the only way I would be let into the circus would be if I were the fat lady. HE HE Thats OK because everyone loves the fat lady at the circus too and I always thought it would be funnier to be a fat clown anyways. I like being goofy and making people laugh, see.........I pulled my hair back, stuck paper in my ear and put on my son's glasses in the first picture. The second picture I was just being dingy! HE HE I think I would have made a great clown! HE HE HE :)
2.I now it may sound kind of weird but I always wanted to be Laura Ingalls. If not her then I always wanted to live in that time period. I talked about it so much that my Grandmother made me a whole outfit. I looked really cute in it and I loved to where it.
3. I always wanted to grow up and be a teacher or a secretary . I took classes in high school to be a secretary, but I had a lot of home problems so I dropped out of school.I was trying to become a christian school teacher for a short time but then that dream had a few problems but it could still happen if I get my big butt back to school. HE HE HE HE I will never stop hopeing for that one:) I did go back this year and get my G.E.D. and I am hopeing to maybe go to collage to get some more smarts. HE HE HE:)

4. I use to tell everyone that when I got bigger I would have 10 kids. The 10 kids would grow up and I would have 30 grandkids. Well after the first one and the pain of labor I don't think I want to have any more. I had a lot of problems with my son and I find it easy to love any child so one of these days I may just sell my house for a bigger one. Then I could foster kids and I would not have to go throught the pain of having them.

I use to watch about 6 other children besides having my son at home so it was like having 10 kids. I still see them every week and they all love me and Aunt Sindi loves all her little monsters. I know I will still be in their lives when they have kids.

5.This one may sound odd to most but I will try to explain. All my life all I ever really wanted was friends. My dreams would be filled with what it would be like to have enough friends to have a party. I was so scared and shy growing up that I never really talked a lot. I would sit alone and cry. Sometimes I would get the courage to try and play with other kids but then they would look at me funny so I would turn and run away. I had kids that would play with me because they were my brother or sister's friends, but not to many that I could say were mine. I had one or two but that was nothing compared to what I have now. This dream has been fulfilled for many years now. I grew up and learned how to come out of my shell and now with my big group of blogger friends, I feel truely blessed. I love all my friends, new and old and I would not give up a hair on one of their heads.
I have decided that I am not going to tag anyone for this meme. I think it is so much fun that everyone will love to just try it. It make you remember who you were when you were younger and I know people love to think about how they were when they were little.HE HE :) Have Fun Everyone.:)

Thanks To Amel:)

Amel has awarded me with these 2 awards. I thank you Amel :)

I would like to share these awards with my friends:

How Did My Birthday Go?

My Birthday was pretty good even though it had not gone the way I had planned. I really got a shock when I first logged on yesterday. I was not expecting any e-mails but maybe one or two. I had a total in the whole day of about 12. I felt so cared about, Thanks everyone! :) This is the cake I asked my hubby to buy me the night before my birthday. I found it on sale and I made him rush down to get it. I still have not gotten to try it yet. HE HE HE HE. :-o

Kevin got up an hour early so he could run down and get me one of my all time favorite breakfasts. I just love Hardee's breakfast clubs with hash rounds. I don't care for pop with breakfast but I drank it anyways.
HE HE HE.

Kevin gave me one of my gifts ahead of time. It was a bigger crock pot. I have been wanting one because when I cook in my old one there was not enough food to share with friends if they stopped by. Having a bigger one I can make more food so if any one stops by I can offer them some too. If no one comes by, which that never happens HE HE HE, then I can have whats left for lunch the next day.
I spent most of my day alone and on the computer. As most of you know I only have dial up and it takes me a very long time to do anything. I was happy just sitting here reading blogs and listening to piano music. Most of my friends had already given me my gifts a couple of days before and know that I just love my alone time. Kasper did stop by so her little girl could tell me happy birthday and Sweet's daughter, Doody, called me too.

Here are the gifts I received from both of them. Sweet let me pick out the liquid potpourri, it is peppermint. She picked out the smiley, it's a piggy bank, I love piggy banks.

Kasper
got
me
my
favorite perfume, cotton candy,
and she made me a card with my picture in it.

On the
outside
of the
card
it
said:
Your
birthday is a gift from God! We have all the treasures that no one can steal-in God's blessings from heaven. so priceless and real. We have all the treasures that life can impart when we put God first in our world and our hearts.
The inside read:Your birthday is a gift from God. May this special day be filled with all the precious gifts that God's love can display.

My son had a basketball game last night so we had to wait for it to be over before we could go to dinner. I walk out side because I am bored from having to wait and the sky was just so beautiful. I have never in my life seen a more beautiful sight. The sky look as if it were on fire. I just had to take a couple of pictures.

That is so beautiful!

We finally get to go to dinner. Because of the lateness of the hour we ended up going to Denny's. I like to go to Denny's but I don't think anyone should spend that much money on something you are just going to crap out later ha ha ha. Kevin always spend way to much there and we always get stuck playing the crane game they have there. We walked out with all of these. There are 7 of them little buggers. My favorite is the frog.

After dinner we decided we were going to run down and see if they had the shoes I have been wanting. They did and so Kevin bought me a pair.

We finally get home around 11:45pm and my friend Beth comes over. She brings my present with her. She had already gotten me a pair of hose I asked for and a bag of my favorite mints. I was not expecting her to come last night with more. She went and got me 2 more bags of my mints. I am sucking on one right now. Boy, do I love them.

We spent the rest of the night just horse playing around and being goofy. I think I had a pretty good birthday.
Today Sweet came by and she got me pizza for lunch with bread sticks and cheese. Yummy! HE HE

Dinner Party MEME :)

I saw this meme on Amel's blog and I it looked fun so I decided to do it.

The rules as set out by Graham (the originator of this meme) are as follows:-

The idea is to work your way through the eight phases of the dinner party, answering all of the questions on the way - being as honest and creative as you wish. Once your homework has been completed, please nominate any blogger who's "virtual" dinner party you would love to hear about.

1) The Dinner Party Theme: You have decided to hold a dinner party. When writing the invites you clearly state that fancy dress must be worn. Assuming that cost is no issue, who or what would you dress up as, and why?

My theme for the party would be friendship so my dress would revolve around my friends. The top to the gown would be made of navy blue velvet. The sleeves would only go down to about 3 inches past the elbow with embroidery around the cuff. There would be a white lace collar and white lace around the waist line where the top and bottom connect. The best part of the gown is the bottom. The bottom would look like a patchwork quilt. Each square of the bottom would have been hand picked by a different friend. I would call it my gown of friendship.

2) The Invitations: This dinner party is for 6 people (including yourself), you are allowed to invite any 5 other people (either past, present, real or fictional), who would you invite and why?

1. My Grandmother- I miss her very much

2.Jimmy Stewart-from the movie "It's A Wonderful Life"

3.Rachmaninov-so he can play Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini for me

4. Clay Aiken-just because he is gorgeous

5.Kermit the frog-the only man-frog who is truly a prince

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

3) The Starter: You are preparing the menu, which dish(es) would you choose as the starter, and why?

I would start with a cheese ball and crackers, it brings everyone together for a light snack.

4) The Main Course: Okay, now for the main course? and what drink would you serve with it?

I would make my famous meatloaf with carrots and potatoes and we would have the all time favorite around here of sweet tea to drink. All mt friends love my meatloaf and my tea so I will stay with what i know best.

5) The Sweet: Finally, the sweet. Which would you choose, and why?

I would make a loaf of pumpkin bread and a loaf of banana bread, both covered in a light glaze.

6) The Entertainment: The dinner party has gone swimmingly, everybody has had fun, conversation and drinks have been flowing all evening. At the end of the meal you announce that everybody should perform their 'party piece' (no matter how strange or pointless). What party piece would you perform?

I would have all my guest tell about there funniest time in their lives. I love to laugh and hear funny stories.

7) The End Of The Evening: The party is over, everybody has gone home, the house suddenly feels empty and quiet. Your eyes fix on the hi-fi in the corner of the room. You search though your CD collection to put on some music as you want to listen to one more track before you retire to bed. Which track would you play?

I would play J.S Bach's Jesus bleibet meine Freude, it is one of my favorites on my Most Relaxing Piano Album.

8) The Dinner Party Nightmares: Okay, so the "virtual" dinner party is over. Now for the real thing. Have you ever been to or hosted a dinner party during which something has gone wrong (either with the food, a guest or something else)?

There are not any that I can think of.

I have decided that I am not going to tag anyone for this meme. I will let people chose on their own if they would like to do it, just like I did. HE HE HE:) If you do end up trying this meme out, have fun with it. Memes can be fun if you make them fun. :-)

Police Officer vs Bat :-)

My story starts when I first moved in next door to my Mother. Most of my life was spent in the house that is next door to me now. Growing up there was OK but we always seemed to get more bats then anyone else every year. I never knew why this happened, but it did.

My son was about six years old when this all took place. My Mother got another bat in the house. Chris is very afraid of bats. My Mother comes over saying that a bat is in the house again and Chris is stuck in his room with the bat flying around. At that time Chris would sleep in nothing, in other words, Butt Naked. He could not get out from under his covers long enough to even put clothes on. Every time he tried to, the bat would dive at his head.

It was summer so we could see and hear through the screen what was going on. I laughed and laughed and laughed, while he cussed and cussed and cussed. He yells out the window for Mom to run through the hall and throw some clothes on the bed so he can get out of there. She gets some clothes out of the dryer in the back of the house then run past his room and throws the clothes in. My Mother not only throws the clothes but she also flicks on the lights so he can see. I forgot to mention that this all happened in the middle of the night. He screams out" Thanks a lot Mom, before I could only hear the thing flying, but now I have to see it coming after me". That just sent all of us into hysterics.

He does finally get clothes on and we all tell him when to run. I have never seen my Brother move so fast. Like I said, he is deathly afraid of bats. He makes himself a nice good spot on my couch and says he is not going home until the bat is gone. He told my Mother to go get his stuff cause until the bat was gone he was moving in with me. I said"What!, you better call some one cause I am not living with him again", so Mom calls the police department.

What most people do not know is that it is the police departments job to take care of such calls. I don't think they get informed of this until after they become officers HA HA, they are to handle dogs, bats, birds, raccoons, and even alligators in some cities, and any other animal that is causing a problem. I couldn't believe it either, but I was told this by the officer who came out. He was a slender man and very tall. He had to be about 6'4. I remember this because the first thought that came to my mind when I saw him was, man that bat is going to smack him right in the head. He walks through the house and finds no bat. He tells us if we find it again to call and he will come back out.

We all felt stupid because we had him come out and then it was gone. Mom goes back over home and can not find it. Kevin goes over and can not find it. We know it is in there, but where. We end up coming up with a plan. Mom goes back to the house and turns off all the lights. Bats do not like the light so we figure if he is still there then he will come back out. A half an hour later Kevin goes back over there followed by my Mother. I stand on the porch just watching. I see my poor Mother get knocked backwards as Kevin comes running out the door. Mom doesn't wait to see why ,she just runs.

We call the police department again and again the same nice officer comes out. He has the look on his face of disbelief. From that look I figured he must have been thinking we were full of, you know what. He steps into the house to see if he can find the bat again. This time he got a surprise! The bat came right at his face. He hits the ground fast. He yells out" well I guess you guys were right it is a bat".

Some how he gets the bat cornered in my Mother's bedroom. He asks for a broom and goes into the room and closes the door. All of a sudden we hear loud booms and bangs coming from the room. This goes on for a while and I had to make a smart remark about it. I told her with a laugh"well this is one way to get a man into your room, Mom", she looks at me with the look that every child has seen from their mothers when they have done wrong. I still just laughed at the shocked look on her face. You could tell she was not expecting that to come out of my mouth. HE HE HE HE :-o

Because of my little joke we had not noticed that it got very quiet in the bedroom. The policeman came walking out with the bat in his hand. He was wearing a glove so he would not get bitten by the bat. He showed it to us and we all took a long look because we never saw one up close before. Mom made the comment that Chris will be happy to know it is gone. We walk out of the house to go tell Chris that the bat has been caught. The officer follows so he can put the bat out in the back some where. He had only stunned the bat and wanted to let it recover before it flew away.

The officer hollers up and asks us if the little guy inside wants to see the bat before he takes it out back. A mans voice hollers from inside and says" Don't you bring that thing in hear!". The stunned officer looks at us and asks"How old is the scared little guy?". All of us together chuckle and say"25" and we chuckle some more. The officer says he will go ahead and take the bat out back and lay it on top of the trash bin. You could see he had the biggest smile on his face when he heard how old my scared brother was. I think he might have even laughed a little.

The rest of the night we laughed at Chris and how scared he was. My son had slept through the whole thing that night. When he got home from school, the next day, Chris tells him the story about the bat. Chris acts all tough and leaves out the part about him being scared. Shawn asks if the bat is still back there, and Chris tells him that he doesn't know. They both decide to go see. Chris leans over the trash bin to look and see. Just as he gets bent over, Shawn let out a very loud screech and makes Chris jump right out of his skin. Chris chases Shawn up front and Shawn is just laughing the whole time screaming " I scared you, ha ha, I scared you". I thought it was a very funny night in deed.

I do want to say Thank you to the officer who came out and to any officer who has to go out and chase down one of these harden criminals. Bats are not something to mess with. HA HA HE HE. I also thought I would let you all know that since this incident Chris no longer sleeps Nakie:) HE HE HE HE

Bats! Bats! and More Bats!

I have been trying to get Ghost stories from my family and friends so I can make a spooky post for Halloween. I have even tried to think of some my self. The only memories that keep returning are the ones about bats. Growing up, there were a lot of bats that would get into our house. For the month of October I will try to squeeze some of these stories in. They can be very funny because we are all scared of bats and with my family it just seems like bats just love us. If any one has a good ghost story to tell, please send it my way so I can post it in my Halloween post with your name.

Not Just A Weed

For the past couple of days my mother has been coming over to see me. She has been bringing with her a dandelion that she picked on her way over. She comes walking in and in a baby voice says to me" I brought you a pretty flower". I laugh at her and respond with" That is not a flower, that is a weed!" She sticks her bottom lips out and sits down. I put the weed on the table and thank her for the weed.

The following day, yesterday, she does the same thing. We go through the same routine but this time I look at it and see ants crawling on it. I laugh at her again and she crabs the weed out of my hand and says" with all the piss ants you have in this house you don't need any more" and she tosses it out the door. We both start laughing at that point. If you would see how many times a day I have to kill the ants you would laugh too.

My Mother works in the evenings and so I never expect to see her unless it is during the day. Last night I was up late and about a quarter til 1 my Mother comes walking in really fast. She saw that I was still up and wanted to bring me something. She hurriedly puts down all her things from work and walks over to me. She gets a big smile on her face and says to me again" I brought you a flower" and she open her coat and pulls out the most beautiful flower I have ever seen. She said that she was sitting outside on her break and saw it and just had to pick it for me.

My Mother and I have never been very close, but she tries ever so often to make up for past wrongs. The flower was very beautiful and I have it sitting in a cup of water, but I cherish the weed more. She showed me how much she loved me every time she gave me the weed. To me it is not just a weed it is her communicating with me. Even though we can not get along or even talk sometimes, we will always have the bringing of the weed. It is one of the main jokes we have played since I was a teenager. She brings a weed and I either act disgusted or act like its a beautiful flower either way it is our special joke.

I guess what I am trying to say is that even though it may seem like you always get weeds maybe there is something special about that weed. You never know when you will get a few flowers tucked in there with the weeds.

Just A Little Different

Today my blog will be a tad bit different. I have so much to talk about that I am going to try and get it all in. For everyone who left a comment on my post entitled "Duh or Potato soup" I thank you. I have never received that many comments on a post before.

Do You Know Your Math:OK, now for what you have all been waiting for. The answer to the Math question. Well, I am sad to say I was wrong. I guessed 42 and the answer was 48. So if you got it right then my hats off to you. If you got it wrong well then you are in the same boat with me, and that's not that bad, unless my boat starts to sink. HE HE HE HE

Ghost Stories: So far I have gathered a couple but I think it is still a work in progress. I am going to compile all the stories and put them into 1 or 2 blogs. If you have a good ghost story please send them my way and I will post them in my blog with your name under it.

Potato Soup: My potato soup is nothing special. I do not add a bunch of stuff to mine like most people do. I make a basic soup and then I let everyone add there own salt and pepper. I will try and write out the recipe for it even though I don't really go by a recipe. I like to cook by tasting it. Each time you taste it ,it tastes different.

I fixed another pot yesterday and Sweet came by today for lunch. I started to dip her out a bowl and saw that she was hopping up and down with anticipation. I just busted out laughing again. She gets a frown and says"what". I had to tell her how dingy she looked. She looked like a small child jumping up and down waiting for a piece of candy or ice cream. I am still giggling over the look on her face.HE HE HE :)

DUUUUUUHHHHHHHH! OR Potato Soup!

DUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! That is how I am feeling right about now. I have been sitting here trying to think of something to write about, and nothing. I guess all I can do is talk about my week. That will be pretty boring too. I don't think any one wants to read about how I mopped the floors or cleaned the house.

I did make a very big pot of potato soup. I peeled 15 pounds of potatoes just to make a pot big enough to feed my loved ones. I fed the three us that night plus My Brother, and My Friend Beth and still had plenty more. Beth always loves my soup. Kevin and I had it again the following night for dinner also. Shawn didn't because he does not really like it.

I had Kasper(from Rusin Round Up) over for lunch the following day. Her family does not like potato soup so she never gets to have any. She had been over the day I was making it and asked if I would save her just a little bit to taste because it had been so long since she had gotten to have any. She was so happy to see that I saved her a nice Big Bowl of it. Her little daughter loved it too.

I also sent a bowl over to Sweet(from My Thoughts) and she loved it. She never gets to have it either. I had a little more fun with her though. I was kind of mean, I called her up and was describing how great the bowl of soup I was eating tasted. She whines over the phone about how mean I am. It is not fair to call and tell her about it. She tells me that I should know how much she loves it and not call and tell her about it. I just sit on the phone laughing at her as she whines to me about it.

What she did not know was that I was sending Kevin over with a bowl the following day. I sent the message that she was not allowed to call me until the bowl was gone. I did not want to hear her eating it and she would try to talk to me and eat at once because of being so happy. She called me later to say how much she loved me, all I could do was laugh at her some more. I told her that I had done it just to torture her, I have to let my mean streak come out from time to time.HE HE HE HE HE

Well how about that? I did not have any thing to write about and then pow! potato soup HA HA :)

Ghost Stories From My Family.

OK, here is my idea for the month of October. October is the month for Spooks and Goblins. October is one of my favorite months because of Halloween and it is the month I was born, yea me! So to celebrate I am going to write stories I have collected from friends and family. I thought it could be fun to go around to family and friends and see what ghost stories they have heard or lived. It may turn out to be very scary! NOT! HE HE HE HE :)

Do you know your Math?

OK, My friend calls me the other night to ask a Math question. Her son is having a problem with the last one and because I love Math most kids and parents call me for help. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out but it was a fun little question so I thought maybe you all would like to take a crack at it.

I am a whole number. Use these clues to figure out what number I am.

1. Half of me is greater than 20

2.One of my digits is double the other

3.One of my digits is a perfect square

What number am I

So give me an answer to what you think it is and I will tell you what I thought it was.

You Are 24% Selfish

In general, you are a very giving person who treats others very well.

But at times, you insist on getting your way - when it matters most to you.

Your Superpower Should Be Invisibility

You are stealth, complex, and creative.

You never face problems head on. Instead, you rely on your craftiness to get your way.

A mystery to others, you thrive on being a little misunderstood.

You happily work behind the scenes... because there's nothing better than a sneak attack!

Why you would be a good superhero: You're so sly, no one would notice... not even your best friends

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Missing out on all of the glory that visible superheroes get

You Are the Ego

You take a balanced approach to your life.

You definitely aren't afraid to act out on your desires - even crazy ones.

But you usually think first. Morals drive you as much as hedonism does.

You've been able to live a life of pleasure... without living a life of excess.

Your Passion is Pink!

You're the type of woman that would never get described as passionate...

Oh but you can be passionate at times - you just don't let it show.

Your passion most shows through in your sweet and optimistic attitude.

And chances are, most people are very passionate about you!

God Bought Me Dinner Last Night:)

I just had to write about two more blessings I received yesterday. My hubby and I were running errands around town yesterday. We needed to get some shopping done because he had to work today. We were on a tight schedule because we had to be at my sons football game at 7:30.

We started to discuss what we were going to have for dinner. I had no idea what I was going to cook and with it going to be so late I really did not want too. We stop off at the last store so he could run in for some bathroom necessities and on the way back out I see him looking down at the ground. He just stood there for a minute and I was wondering what in the world was he doing. He looked like a ding dong just standing there staring at the ground. He looked around and then bent down to pick something up. He looked around again then came back to the van.

He gets this big smile on his face and says well you don't have to cook tonight. He pulls out this little ball of paper and it is a 20 dollar bill. There was no one else there to claim it and we sat there a few seconds to see if any one came looking for it. I put it in my purse and told him well I guess God is buying us dinner. He smiled and said I guess so and we left to go to the game.

The night did not end with that one, when we get to the game I get another Blessing. A very nice looking lady started walking towards me, I smile at her and she looked like she was about to huge me. I was trying to remember if I knew her or if I had ever talked to her before. She picked up her pace and came up to me and whisperd in my ear," here take my ticket to get into the game" then she sliped the ticket into my hand. I said thank you as she rushed away at a very fast pace.

I just could not believe it! First dinner and now a free pass into the game. We lost the game but just those two blessings have kept me in smiles all day today.

The Map......

My mother brought this over for me to read and I wanted to share it with everyone.

The Map.....

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like.

Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the map of our country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby, and said,"Go into the other room and see if you can put this together. This will show you our whole country today."

After a few minutes, Shelby returned and handed him the map correctly fitted together. The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly.

"Oh," she said," on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, then our country just came together." :)

Isn't it strange how we can all learn a lesson from looking through the eyes of a child.God Bless :-D

Fridays 10 Blessings:)

My day started out like any other day. I was not expecting anything to go on, but the floors getting mopped. I figured I would take a shower then get busy on my housework. My day was planned, shower, housework ,then some R&R.

I get out of the shower and see that while I was in there someone had called and left 2 messages. It was my friend Stacy. I had been telling her about a museum I went to and she wanted to know if I wanted to go with her so she could check it out. I jumped at the chance to go back and said sure. That was blessing #1.

She comes to pick me up and tells me that she would like to find something else to do also so she would not have to go back home until it was time for her kids to get home. I suggest going to a little second hand store near by. I have been wanting to go there for a couple of weeks but did not want to go alone. It can be kind of boring shopping by yourself. That was blessing #2.

We get to the store and are walking around when Stacy comes across 2 sets of bib shorts. She was wanting to get her daughter a pair but did not have the money for a new pair. She got both pair at the store for under$2.00. We were looking for other bargains when out of the corner of my eye I see a black Bible. I was needing a new one but did not have the money to purchase one brand new. This Bible looked like the binder had never been cracked. I walk over to take a better look and right next to it was a beautiful Red one. I had to get both. That was blessings#3&4.

We take our stuff up to the counter so we can pay and I remember seeing a sign when I came in that said all books on sale. I figure I would get a really good deal on the Bibles. Boy, did I ever. The lady goes to ring up my purchases when another lady comes up to her from behind. I smile politely at her and she smiles back. Then she looks at the lady that is ringing stuff up and tells her to let me have the second Bible for free. I walked out of the store with 5 books, and a cassette tape and only paid $1.75. I not only got a good deal but I got a friendly smile also! That was blessing#5.

We finally make it to the museum and I show her all the neat old stuff and we take a few pictures of her being silly. We go to the gift shop so she can see all the stuff they have to sell. I had been there before so I knew that most of the stuff in there was way over priced, but I always liked to look. The gift shop lady comes up to us and says that all the items on the table in front of us are 50% off. I was so happy:) There were cute little prayer boxes on the table, I wanted one. I had just enough money to get three of the pendents, 1 for me and 2 for gifts, and a key chain. That was blessing#6We go to the bake shop in the museum and Stacy buys me 2 cookies as a thank you for coming with her. That was blessing #7, because they were really good cookies.

We go to the south end of town because Stacy swore she saw the orange General Lee car. We get to where she thought she saw it and there it was. I take a picture of it because I know my hubby will love to have a picture of it to add to his collection of car pics. That was blessing #8.

I finally get home, get all my house work done and still have time to relax. Kevin comes home and hands me $40.00. I look at him with confusion and say OK whats this. He smiles and says we are going out to dinner. His boss is buying our meal. That was blessing#9.

We come home from the restaurant and Kevin goes to take out the trash. Our neighbors moved and left a lot of stuff behind. The owner of the house we know very well and she has told us on a number of occasions that whatever she sets out we may have because the tenants will not be back for it. So tonight Kevin noticed she sat out a nice glass patio table. The chairs need repaired but we know how to do that. We were needing another table for out side parties and now we have one. That was blessing #10

I would have to say that today was a pretty great day:)

Kennedy and Lincoln-Strange But True!!!

My mother has had this plaque hanging in her house for years. I remember reading it every so often while I was growing up. I never thought to much about it until the other day. She brings it over and asks me if I remember it. I said "ya sure it has been on that same wall for years". She then asks me if I have ever read it, again I tell her yes, but I don't think to much about it.

She sees that I am very busy with house work and lays it on the counter and tells me when I have the time that maybe I should read it again. I tell her OK and go on with my work. I finally get done with what needed to be done and sit down. I look over and see it just sitting there. I figure I better read it again or she will be angry when she comes back over, she just lives next door.

I have been reading this thing all my life but it never made an impact like it has now. I never realized how different things look to you as you get older. I never noticed how your out look on things can change. Well needless to say it was cool so I have decided to make a blog about it. There are some really neat truths on here. I am going to copy it word for word so I don't mess it up.
Lincoln-Kennedy, each contain seven letters. Lincoln was elected in 1860.Kennedy was elected in 1960.Both Presidents had legality of election contested. Both were directly concerned with issues of civil rights. Both were slain on Friday and in the presence of their wives. Their successors were named Johnson. Both were Southern Democrats, who previously had served in the U.S. Senate. Andrew Johnson born 1808. Lyndon Johnson born 1908.

Lincoln's secretary, named Kennedy, advised him not to go to the theatre.

Kennedy's secretary, named Lincoln, advised him not to go to Dallas.

Booth shot Lincoln in a theatre and hid in a warehouse.

Oswald shot Kennedy from a warehouse and hid in a theatre.

Booth and Oswald were murdered before trial could be arranged.

Andrew Johnson, Lyndon Johnson each contain thirteen
letters.

John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald each contain fifteen letters.

Lincoln and Kennedy were carried in death on the same caisson.

After reading this you just have to sit back and think to yourself "How weird is that?".

My Brother, The Fun Guy!

My brother, Chris, likes to take me out from time to time to have a little fun. I am usually cooped up in the house so he comes over and says be ready tomorrow at 7 am, we are going out. When he says that I know to listen or I will be missing out on some great fun.

Well because I am a slow poke we didn't leave until 8am. Chris, my Mother, my friend Beth and I headed to The Clabber Girl Museum. On the way we came across some workers with a huge crane loading a semi trailer onto another semi trailer. I just had to take a picture because I had never seen anything that cool in my whole life. When we get to the museum he sticks his big head into one of those wood cut outs. I could not help but laugh. I go and do the same thing and every one laughed at me. They said my hair matched with the cut out. My Mom gets into the picture and I just had to make faces. I love to be goofy and I am sort of a corn ball. After we walk through and saw all the cool old stuff Chris decides to get us all coffee. I don't usually drink coffee to often so the caffeine put me into a really goofy mood. The bake shop was a nice peaceful place to sit and have our coffee and a cinnamon roll. Well it was until I got in there. I was trying to dunk a piece of my cinnamon roll in my coffee when it fell of my fork right into my coffee. I say very loudly"Oh Sh**". Every one at the table burst into laughter and Chris tells me I need a bib, so I put one on. I sit there with my boo boo lip sticking out because I can not get my roll out of my coffee. This keeps everyone in stitches as they watch me fish it out, but I got it! I think the coffee went to my head.

We leave the museum and Chris takes me to the new putt putt golf place here in town. The place has the whole putt putt course in a room with black lights. This proves to be very funny because if you are wearing certain colors then it glows. I am looking down at my shoes to see my shoe strings glowing and when I look up I start to giggle at Beth. I run over to her to let her know there is a small problem with her shirt. What was the problem? You could see her bra glowing right through it! There were more wood cut outs there so I had to take one of me as a monkey. I kind of fit the part pretty well. We laughed a little more about our glowing clothes and started to play golf. There were a lot of nice places to take pictures but because of all the ones I have added to this blog I have decided I will only put my favorite one on here. This is a picture of Chris playing dead with his head in the alligator's mouth. The reason it's my favorite is because of what happened after the picture was taken. He could not get his head back out. Do you think any of us stopped to help him, Nope, we just stood there and laughed. My mother said" How many times have I told you not to stick your head in places it doesn't belong. He did get his head back out but he had a couple of scratches from the teeth. I had a great day with my loved ones and I still laugh just thinking of Chris' head stuck in a plastic alligator.
