Santas, Snowmen and Elves

Every year I make Snowmen and Santa door knob covers. Last year I tried also making elves and smiley face door knob covers. It it getting close to that time of year again so I thought I would post the pictures from last year. I found this in my draft box and I can not believe I never posted this for everyone to see. The first thing I needed to do was make sure I was going to have enough eyes, noses and smiles to make my little friends come to life. I crochet all the head and bodies and then sewn them together. I then added on the noses and buttons.

I then gave them eyes to see with and man were they looking all over the pace.lol Then it was time to glue on their smiles. Each one has a different kind of smile and their own personality.

Everyone is all smiles now and have on their proper scarfs and hats. Smile
Time to place them all in plastic so they will stay clean until they are sold. Patiently waiting their turn to be bagged up. I gave my counselor a smiley face and he asked if I could make him a frowny one also, so I did. He told me that when it is OK for people to enter his office he puts the smiley on the door. When he doesn't want to be disturbed then he puts the frowny on the door.

Time Capsule

According to Free dictionary :* The Time Capsule is a container for preserving historical records to be discovered at some future time.* A Time Capsule is a historic cache of goods and/or information, usually intended as a method of communication with people in the future.

I am making this so I can one day come back and see the things I would like to remember.

3.)Words of wisdom-Life is to short to hurry through it. Take time to enjoy what you have and if it isn't what you wanted then change it. If you are not going to put forth the effort to change it then shut up about it. :-)

4.) My son: My son is 18 and single. I hope that one day he will come on my blog and see this and recall the year he was 18. He talks of collage and wonders if he will get to go to the collage he wants too. I wonder what kind of man he will become and I cant wait to see.

5.) Me: I am 37 getting ready to turn 38. I found a wonderful church I love going to and i love baking pumpkin bread and selling to to make extra money. My best friend Michelle moved away and my best friends Donna and Stacey have passed away. My best friends Beth and Robin are the only close friends I have around here now. I am happy because I take time now to enjoy life and I am trying new things everyday. If there were one thing I could tell my future self or anyone reading this, its live your life and never ever let any one stop you. Don't let love or fear or any type of bullying stop you from going out and doing what you want to do in your life. Go out and see the world and enjoy the greatness the Lord has made. Time passes us by so fast and before we know it, its gone and we cant get it back. Have fun and smile, even if you don't feel like it. When you smile it turns your whole day around, if not for you then for someone who sees your smile.

I would like to invite any one to do one and then in about 10 years come back and see what you have put in here.

Boy, Am I Tired But Happy :-)

Here is a post form 2008 found in my drafts.Cleaning out my drafts is nice, such good memories.

I missed babysitting for friends and family. I was so use to do it that when I took a year off I missed it greatly. I am not babysitting full time again but the times I do, Wow! I am enjoying the time I get to spend with faith and Gage. I am sooooooooo tired though. I forgot how tired I would get after a day with children.

The first day I started watching them again I made Faith cry. I told her that she needed to start picking up her toys because her Mom would be picking her up in an hour. She
started to cry because she didn't not want to go home. The picture on the left is the sad face I saw. I told her if she gave me a smile then I would give her a mint. The picture on the right is the big smile I saw.

On another day I was watching her she came at me growling like a monster. I just had to take this picture. I even left the red eye in for the effect. She said she was a monster and she was going to get me. She got me HE HE HE HE

The past couple of times she has been here I can't get her away from the TV. I pulled out my son's old Ronald McDonald cartoons one day when she wanted to watch a cartoon. They came out with them back in 1998 or 1999. If you bought a happy meal and paid an extra $1.99 you got a new tape. We bought 4 of them for Shawn when he was still into cartoons. Faith just loves to watch them. She wants to watch all of them every time she is here. She just cracks me up but boy am I sick of watching them.

I went on a shopping spree that year and got so many things fro such great bargains that I had started this post to show all the great deals. I got all these things and I know I didn't spend over $100 total for all of it. My new table looks good with a table cloth on it , I love it.
