Brought To Tears!

I received this in an E-mail this morning and it just brought me to tears. I wanted to share it with everyone. The whole time I was reading it I pictured my son going through what those children had too. I hope by posting this it at least makes people just stop and think.

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

'Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. !

'The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the N CA , the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

'In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question 'Why?'
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

'Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present with in our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped b y metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

'As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before hi s very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999 , at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!

'Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man's speech... Please send this out to everyone you can. GOD BLESS

Black Friday

I am writing this post because Cliff from Seek Him First had asked in one of his post, "why" people go out the day after Thanksgiving. Here is the reason I do.

Most people call it Black Friday but I call it crazy day. It is the day when all the stores price their merchandise in the black. Up until about 5 or 6 years ago I would have never ever thought of going out of my house the day after Thanksgiving. I had seen all the horror stories on T.V. and could not believe people could act that way. One year Stacy asked me to go with her, and I was freaked out. I have never been the type of person to get out in the world. People I don't know scare me. I just don't like people to much because they are always mean and laugh or snicker at me so I just stay home.

As I was saying, Stacy asked me to go, and I freaked. Then I started to think , why am I letting mean people run my life. Why am I so afraid of these people. I went, and was so scared I almost peed myself, but I did it. We ran from one store to another getting great bargains on gifts. I am not a wealthy person so I have to watch what I spend. I was able to get gifts for family and friends and not feel bad, because they were really good gifts.

There have been times when I came across rude people and I have just overlooked them. I took my mother with me one year and a fight broke out. We had been standing in line ,in the cold for 2 hours and when the doors came open other people jumped out of their cars and rushed the doors. The people who had stood in the cold became angry and started fighting with them. I had my mother , brother and friend Beth with me that year. Beth and I were trying to protect my little, under 5 foot ,mother from being stomped on and we were almost thrown through the glass side windows at Menard's. My Brother had been pushed the other direction so he could not get to us to help. I had never been that scared in my life and I Loved it. My brother also loved it and now he gos with me every year even if he has no money.

This year was the first year I was unable to go. I did miss it but I know there is always next year. For me it is not only getting good deals but shows me that I can go out into the world and not be afraid. I have learned that I can deal with mean and rude people and handle myself. It is one of the scariest days of the year and I can say I am one of those crazy people that run out to get that bargain. HE HE HE HE :)

Our Thankgiving Day :)

Well Thanksgiving Day started out a little later than I had planed. Kevin and I did not make it to bed until 3 am so we slept in the fallowing Day. For us sleeping in was 10 in the morning. Well, I got up at 10, Kevin slept longer. I put all the pans on the stove for the shells and cheese, the chicken broth and the pan of potatoes.I placed the corn in a bowl with some butter and popped it into the microwave. Yes, I know it is not Thanksgiving if you nuke it but heck I cook all the other stuff. HE HE HE HE All the things I cooked the day before turned out great. Here is a picture of the pineapple upside down cake, the walnut cake, and a pumpkin pie.Yummy !

After I got everything started I ran in for a quick shower. I knew as soon as my Mom and brother smelled the food they would be running over. I took my shower and figured I would hear them when I got out. I was in luck, they had not came over yet. Kevin peeked out the window and said that their van was gone. I figured had plenty of time to get dressed and cook before they came home. They finally made it over about 1pm and I was still cooking. I was taking my time with cooking because I was not going to get everything ready then have to heat it all up again. I sat out my cheese ball that I made the day before and my little sausage appetizers. As you can see from the picture they went really fast, even T.J. had a taste. They didn't even give me time to take a picture of the full trays. Oh well, at least I know they liked them. HE HE HE HE

I finally heated up the crescent rolls and we all sat down to eat. This is my Mother coming back with her second plate. Wow I must of done a good job for my little Mommy to stuff 2 plates. They left around 3:30 because there was a Colts game playing that day. They ran down to restaurant and bar called B-Dubs(Buffalo Wild Wings) so they could watch it. My Mother and Brother are Really Big Football Fans.

Kevin, Shawn and I sat around and ate desert, that mom and Chris missed out on, and watched a little T.V. I had a nice big piece of cheese cake with cherries on top. Yummy:) When I got up to go do the dishes I saw this; All three were asleep or dead. I had either filled up all their bellies with good cooking or my cooking was so bad I killed them. HE HE HE HE They are still alive:) After they woke up Kevin and I went out looking at Christmas lights. They were so pretty!

My Day of Cooking :)

Today is my day of cooking. In my family the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest. I know most families do all their cooking on Thanksgiving but then the women are busy cooking while the men are watching football, NOT FARE! In my family we cook or prepare everything the day before so the women can also enjoy Thanksgiving. I love to cook so it does not really matter to me but the guys love it because all I have to do the next day is heat everything up and cook some of the smaller items a they can eat all day long and watch the game. See I have already stared my cooking. My cooking will not be finished until all these bowls and pans are full. Here is a picture of all the food piled on my counter. I have a very busy day ahead of me.Here is a list of everything I am cooking and the day after Thanksgiving I will post pictures of each dish so everyone can see all the goodies. Right now I am boiling the eggs for Deviled Eggs. Here is another little perk about my family. We have different words for common everyday things, in other words we talk funny. In my family they are not called deviled eggs they are called God eggs. See here are the God eggs cooking now. HE HE HE HE:) I am also cooking the chicken right now for chicken and noodles. I will not add the noodles until tomorrow but cooking the chicken the day before gives me one less this to do tomorrow. We will also be having Turkey. I bought a 19 pound one, I just hope it is big enough. there will be mashed potatoes that I will peel and slice today but will not cook until tomorrow. I will also be waiting to cook tomorrow the shells and Cheese, the corn and the crescent rolls. Today I will make the turkey,Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

a Swedish Walnut cake, a cherry cheese cake,a pineapple upside down cake, home made onion dip, a cheese ball, sausage and cheese appetizers, God eggs, and 8 pumpkin Pies. There would have been more but I ran out of money HE HE HE HE:) Then when I am all through with that, I have to cook dinner. I will be a busy little beaver HE HE HE HE :)

OK, in ending this post I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

My Son:)

This is a little post about my son Shawn. My son came to me last week and told me about an incident that happened at school. He said that a boy was being picked on by a group of other boys and that he stopped them. I told him that I was proud that he stood up for the other boy. This was on Tuesday of last week and I did not think I would hear anymore about it. I just told Shawn that if he had any trouble with the other boys to just handle it and I left it at that.

Thursday after school Shawn had a basketball game and Chris and a friend went to watch him play. I got the surprise of my life when I found out what was going on. I guess some parents came up to Shawn after the game to thank him for what he did. Chris said that they were calling Shawn a hero. The parent of the boy Shawn helped out even paid for his field trip on Friday.

This is what I understand to have happened. There was a basketball game on Tuesday for the 7 grade and 8 grade at another school. About 5 or 6 of the 8 grade kids came over and started pushing and being mean to a 7 grade kid. The 7 grader was one of my sons team mates so he just stepped in and stopped it. It had happened in front of the other teammates but no one would do anything. The 8 graders walked away but then tried to get at the kid again later after the games were over. The coaches were not around and from what I heard it started to get bad. From what has been said by others, Shawn backed them down this time and pushed a couple. He was not going to stand by and let 5 or 6 kids jump just 1 kid. Shawn says he does not remember a lot of it, he just jumped into action, the other boy told everyone what Shawn did. The coach told Shawn that he was just being modest but I really think Shawn doesn't remember. I think all he was thinking about was, do something!

I am worried that he will be in the middle of a battle once the boys get back to school, they were expelled for what they did, but I know he can handle himself. I am also proud that he stood up for someone and would not allow it to happen. He is a big boy, he always has been, but his heart is as big as he is.

I have not had a chance to get to my computer in almost 2 days. I know now that I am addicted to blogging. I have just been going nuts. I have a hard enough time getting to every ones blogs because of only having dial up and then to read them and leave a comment, but then being so busy to not even be able to touch the keys. I feel as if I am neglecting my blogger friends because I can't make it to every ones blogs as much as I would like to. OK, enough with me feeling bad. Now on to the good stuff.

Yesterday, the 14, was my Hubbies birthday and that took up a lot of my time. I did not have a lot of money so Stacy ran me down to the store so I could buy the things I needed to make a cake. We left from the store and headed over to the tool store, that's what I like to call it, so I could pick him up a tool he showed me in an add.

When he showed me the add I had to tell a little lie, forgive me Lord. I told him I had no money. I only had about $8 but it was just enough to get 2 tools and the stuff I needed for a cake, Thank you Lord. Kevin was not expecting much when he came home from work because he knew I had no money to do anything. All he was expecting was dinner.

When he came home the first thing I did was tell him Happy Birthday. He could smell his dinner cooking, I made one of his favorites, fried pork steaks, fried taters and corn. He got a big smile and said " is it almost done?". I wanted to throw him off a little so I told him that the trash needed to be emptied. After he emptied the trash I told him that I had a surprise for him. I gave him the 2 presents that I had wrapped in the Sunday funnies. He loved them but he was even happier when he saw the cake I made just for him. Here is a picture of it. I did not do to bad for my first try at a tower cake. He loves Recee Cups so it is covered in them. Oh, and it tasted pretty good too.

He did ask where the money came from because I had told him that I had no money. I had to confess that I took it out of the grocery money so we would be eating crap meals the rest of the week. He smiled and didn't seem to mind. We watch a movie and then went to bed. For me it was a very busy day.

Rose:)

I received this in an E-mail and I passed it to a lot of friends. I received an E-mail today asking if I was going to post this and if I was not then could they. I responded by telling them that I would post this and that they could also. I think it is inspirational and so did they and I just never thought to post it. I hope it touched you like it did me and Thank You Mel for suggesting to post it.

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being.

She said, 'Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?

'I laughed and enthusiastically responded, 'Of course you may!' and she gave me a giant squeeze.'Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?' I asked.

She jokingly replied, 'I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids...

''No seriously,' I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.

'I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!' she told me.

After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake. We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized listening to this 'time machine' as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she reveled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor.Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said,

'I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know.'

As we laughed she cleared her throat and began,

'We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die.We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it!There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up.If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight.Anybody can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets. The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets.

'She concluded her speech by courageously singing 'The Rose.'She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives. At the year's end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago.One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it's never too late to be all you can possibly be.When you finish reading this, please send this peaceful word of advice to your friends and family, they'll really enjoy it!These words have been passed along in loving memory of ROSE.

REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL. We make a Living by what we get, We make a Life by what we give.God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Pass this message on....You will receive a miracle tomorrow (if you don't think so...look out your window when you wake in the morning and think about it)If you choose not to, then you refuse to bless someone else.'

Good friends are like stars.........You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.'

Caitlyn And Cody

I am writing this post about my niece, Caitlyn, and nephew, Cody. I am dedicating it to Cody. Lately Cody has been calling me and asking me all kinds of questions. They are not important questions but just things he would like to know. The other day he gets on their computer at home and he starts instant messaging me. He was bored and just wanted to talk and send me silly icons. I was very busy so I told him about my blog. He loves to read so it kept him busy for a little while so I could get things done that I needed to get finished. I get another message about an hour later from him. He just loved it and wanted to know when I would be writing another post. I told him that I had things to do but I would post one by the end of the day. I get a phone call later that night, he is wondering where my new post is. I did get the post out that night before he went to bed. So I figured if I write this post about him then it will make him happy. So Cody here is a post about you and your sister, I hope you like it :)

Caitlyn

She was a very small baby. The first day my sister brought her home we all went to my grandmother’s house so Lori could show off her new baby. We were all having a great time when Chris called and told us that we had to rush little Caitlyn back to the hospital. The doctors’ office called and said that she had Jaundice and needed to be brought in as soon as possible. You could tell my sister was scared, but Caitlyn was fine after a couple of days stay in the hospital. This picture was taken right before we rushed out the door with her. You can see how yellow she looked.
Caitlyn did not grow very fast so we always had this cute little thing running around smiling at you all the time. This is a picture of her hanging over my porch trying to see what I am doing.
She is growing now and we all never thought she would. She is getting good grades in school and is taking gymnastics. Here is last year’s school picture. She is growing into a very beautiful young lady.

Cody

When Cody was born I could not be there like I was when Caitlyn was born. The reason being I was taking care of Caitlyn. She had never been away from her Mommy except when I would watch her during the day. She had never ever stayed the night any where and Lori was afraid that Caitlyn would freak out. Caitlyn was going to stay with us until my sister came home from the hospital. I spent the whole day playing with her and we took her to the circus. Then Kevin and I took her out to eat and the rest of the night she played with her cousin Shawn until she fell asleep.
I always called Cody my giggle baby. I swear the boy was born laughing. Even when I don’t see him for a long time, I can still hear his little giggle. This picture of him shows how much he liked to smile. He is still smiling today. The boy can drive you nuts sometimes but get him laughing and you forget how scatter brained he makes you. This picture is when he was a little older and he just has the cutest little grin. He was my little trouble maker too. I went through three playpens just trying to keep him confined long enough to go pee. He was so smart that I finally gave up on playpens and I made him go every where I went, even to the bathroom. I put a little chair in there and when I had to go, he had to sit and wait. He is older now and he is still as smart and silly as ever. He has always wanted to know about things, which is good, until he takes something apart. He wants to know how things work and does not stop to think that maybe we don’t want things taken apart. Once when I was watching him, I let him play under the kitchen table with his toys while I did some house cleaning. He came into me a little later with a handful of screws. He had taken all the screws out of my table. He could tell I was angry with him and in a few minutes he had the table back together. He was about 4 or 5 then.
One time I was talking on the phone with Lori, his Mom, and we had talked for a while. She tells me to hold on so she can check and see what the kids were doing. I hear her scream something and then she get back on the phone. She says” You are not going to believe what I just found him doing!” I tell her to calm down that it could not be that bad. Boy was I wrong! He had walked around the whole inside of the house and taken off all the door knobs. As soon as she told me I busted out laughing. I just could not believe it. He did go back around and put them back on. To this day just the thought of my sister’s face when she saw what he had done makes me smile.
This is his school picture from Last year. He is 9 years old now. He is a cutie and he will break a lot of hearts someday. Well, I hope you all liked reading about my niece and nephew. I know I will be getting a phone call from Cody very soon; I know he will have to let me know what he thought. HE HE HE HE

The Dog and God :)

A dog had followed his owner to school. His owner was a fourth grader at a public elementary school. However, when the bell, rang the dog slipped inside the building and made it all the way to the child's classroom before a teacher noticed and shooed him outside, closing the door behind him. The dog sat down, whimpered and stared at the closed doors. Then God appeared beside the dog, patted his head, and said,"Don't feel bad fellow"...they won't let ME in either".

Hogwarts Invitation:)

I have been tagged by Amel to do this Hogwarts MeMe. It looked like it would be a little interesting to see where I would fit so I did it. I am not going to tag anyone.

Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?

*** start copy paste this invitation***

I know what you're all thinking, "Not -another- sorting quiz!", but before you get bored and leave, let me say a few things about it. This is not the ordinary sorting quiz that you're used to. Unlike all those other quizzes infesting the Internet, this quiz actually sorts you for who you are as a person, not because your favorite animal is a lion.

I made this quiz as a reaction to all the bad sorting quizzes. The problem with most of the existing quizzes, is that the questions rarely have anything to do with which house you would actually be sorted into. Your favorite color doesn't effect which house you belong to. Not every Gryffindor likes defense against the dark arts, not every Slytherin likes potions. Just look at Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Each is in Gryffindor, but each has a completely different disposition. Harry's father was often a bully and a thief, yet he was still in Gryffindor.

This quiz will actually ask you psychological questions with a variety of answers that can't easily be determined as to which house they fit into. This was meant to be more like what the Sorting Hat does. Just remember though that you must answer these questions truthfully in order to get an accurate answer.

Also these questions are written to take place in our world, not the world of Harry Potter. I didn't give a Harry Potter theme to the quiz because the answers are more accurate this way. As Muggles, we don't have any idea what it's like to be faced with a troll or a bogart and we've never played quiddich. Our answers may be skewed as to how our favorite characters would act instead of ourselves. However, we all know what it's like to live in the Muggle world because we do it every day.

Please take the test and copy paste this *master list* after you are sorted and don't forget to tag your friends! Let's see which tower has the most members!

Gryffindor: Karen
Slytherin:
Ravenclaw: Mr. Fong
Hufflepuff: Trinity, Amel,Coolaid

Good Luck :)

A Great Day ! ! ! ! !

Mondays- just say that word to someone and watch them give a sigh. I have never really had a problem with Mondays except that I seem to be more tired from the weekend. Today is Monday and I just wanted to tell every one what a great Monday it has been.

My day started out as it always does. I did my everyday things: took a shower, make my bed, brushed my hair and teeth, then planned out my cleaning for the day. My brother and Mother come over to visit after my brother had got off work, about 10:00 am. He had went down to McDonald's and bought me breakfast. I am a big breakfast fan, I could eat it all day long.

They went home and I started my cleaning as usual. I did all the boring crap no one likes to do like some dusting, left over dishes, cob webs;yuk, and vacuuming. I finally get most of my work done and I go to sit down. My little white dog starts acting crazy, which means someone is here. My friend Michelle came to visit with her little girl, Faith. Michelle comes in telling me that she brought me gifts and they are the kind I like, food:) She had made some veggie soup, one of my favorites, and thought of me. She brought me a bowl for lunch and a piece of cake she had made the night before. The soup was grand. I told her to bring me any left overs if there is any, he he he he it was that good. We visit for a short time before she has to leave to do her housework.

My sister,Lori, shows up a little while later. She had instant messaged me to let me know she would be coming. She is a bargain hunter like me and wanted to show me the 2 great laptops she bought on E-bay. She also brought me my birthday present. i have never seen anything so beautiful before in my life. My sister always knows how to pick out great gifts, I suck at it. Here is a picture of what she got me.It is a glass picture frame that she put her picture in. She put the cross on it herself because she knows I love religious icons. There is a marvelous poem on it, which I love poems too.

Here is the poem:

Sisters
Sister you're so special
you really know me well,
If I am not happy
You can always tell
You're always there beside me
In everything I do,
To me you are more than just my sister
You are my best friend too.

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family and great friends.:)

7 RANDOM FACTS MEME

I have been tag to do this meme by Seek Him First. I like to do memes when I have a chance too. I think they are fun and they let you express who you are.

Rules

A) Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

B) Share 7 random or weird facts about yourself.

C) Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

D) Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here are my 7 facts

1.) I am very insecure: Not about my looks but about making friends. I always feel that people don't like me or that I am not a good enough person so why should people like me. I am working on having a better outlook on myself.

2.) I talk to much when I do get to know people. For those of you who know me, you know this to be true. Sometimes I get to talking so much that I think one day my lips will fall off. HE HE HE HE My friends secretly wish for that to happen.

3.)I am a clean freak. I am not as bad as my sister but I have been called Little Miss Susie Homemaker or Mrs. Clean. The weird part is, I do enjoy it.

4.) I love to do crafts and make things. Here is a list of what I do in my spare time(which is a lot): Crochet, Embroidery, Plastic Canvas, Wood Burning(not so much anymore), Cross Stitch, and I can Sew a little as long as you don't mind that I can not sew a straight line very well. I also like to read, write and listening to music in my spare time. Here is one of my plastic canvas projects that I made. He is so cute peeking out of his coffin. HE HE HE HE

5.)I drive everyone I know crazy with taking pictures! I love to take pictures with my new camera. I just bought myself a computer in February and my Hubby bought me a camera this summer to go with it. I take pictures of everything. I never leave home with out it and my friends and family are planning my death because of it. I do believe that if I do not stop taking so many pictures that they will kill me! HE HE HE

6.)I greatly enjoy piano music:) I could listen to it all day every day. I could care less who is playing or what there are playing. Anything played on a piano is beautiful. One of these days I would like to learn how to play the piano. You never know I might be pretty good.

7.) OK, now for a weird fact, up until October 2006 I hardly ever left my house. I was always scared to go places. I don't drive because of my fears and I would come up with excuses if someone asked me to go some where. I have change in just the past year and I am hoping by next year I will be able to tell everyone I am driving. I made it down to the BMV and I do have my learners permit. I have managed to do a lot in the past year. I went back to school and received my G.E.D., I put blond high lights in my hair to change it, I went an got my permit, I quit smoking and I have been running around with friends. I know for a lot of people out there it does not seem to be a big deal, but to me it is. I am just happy to get out of the house.

I am not going to tag anyone because I feel that if you want to do then just do it, HE HE HE HE:)

Report Cards:)

I had to just write a quick blog about my son's report card. I am so proud of him. He has had me worried because of how busy he has been. He has been going to school all day then would go to Basketball practise for 2 hours and then after that he would go for 2 hours of football practice. He would then come home and do his chores and any homework he would have. After all that he would eat dinner and take a shower then head off to bed. I was expecting his grades to slip a little but I got a big surprise. This is his report card. He made a 4.0 and all A's. I had to go to the school to pick up his report card and have a meeting with each teacher. Every time I came to a different one and said who's parent I was they just smiled really big. By the time I left the school I was beaming. I was so proud of him. The teachers said that he was a great student and that their jobs would be so much easier if all the student were like him. One teacher even said that she knows she does not need to worry about what he is doing because she knows he is always doing what he is suppose to be doing. OK, I am done bragging now, I just had to brag a little. You can't blame a Mommy for being proud:)
